Greg,

See how this works for you.  I don't have a 9000 but the 4000 works as 
expected with Nikon Scan.  I have used VueScan since it was a command 
line program, but I seem to have better luck with Nikon Scan or 
Silverfast.  Although I use either one seldom these digital days.
