Do you all think that IS really works as well as advertised? Canon claims 1
to 2 stops. I've never been able to tell much difference with IS on or off,
but my unsteadiness may be worse than for what the IS can compensate. I
always envied the steadiness Sonny and others have been able to obtain
pre-IS with an M and slow shutter speeds. And Doug needs no IS to produce
stellar work.

I enjoy having the stabilization in the body because it affects ALL the
lenses I put on the camera.

No need to go out and buy a buncha lenses with switches on them.
