Subject: [Leica] Need help shooting STS 131 Shuttle Launch

I have a ticket to the VIP area of the causeway. I apologize for no  
Leica content but there is no way my late production 135 f4 will help  
here. So Nikons are going. Significant other and dogs having a hard  
time with the stay behind status but...there are only 3 Shuttle  
launches left

Anybody out there in LUG land been there done that? Real world advice.

6:50AM Monday launch.

two Manfroto tripods
Manfroto monopod
D2Xs
D2h primary cameras
300 f2.8 on D2xs

ADVISE HERE PLEASE SECONDARY CAMERA

D2h with 500 Cat  OR
D2h with Tamaron 200-400 f5.6 AF at 400
D2h with Novoflex Kilfit 640 f9 with bellows and trigger grip (TSA's  
gonna love a pistol grip)

Film have freezers of Portra 800...

or go old school and shoot TXP....

Doubt anyone has shot a Shuttle launch on film for a decade


ALSO ANYONE IN PDX SEA have a Novoflex NIKON adapter so I can dump the  
bellows
