The 1.7 is a pancake.
The 2.8 macro is a monster.
If "carry around" is the keyword it goes to the pancake.  Which is about
1/5th the size and weight of the 1.7 from what it looks to me.
Putting a huge lens like that on a super compact camera is beyond me.
It will fit on your pocket with the pancake. That's why they made the darned
thing.
