Subject: [Leica] IMG: Still more horses.

No more horses after today - at least for a while. The rain is coming down
in buckets and all I can do photographically is edit old files. My Leicas
don't tolerate the rain well.


By a strange quirk of fate most of my city raised family lives in rural
areas. It is a reversal of the tradition of the farm boy leaving the farm
for the bright lights of the big city. Here are several equine portraits of
their nearby neighbors.


Horses in a Virginia field near the Skyline Drive. My oldest daughter wanted
to raise llamas in this field but was discouraged when told that horses and
llamas didn't get along well together.

Farm horses belonging to a neighbor. They are very friendly and always
approach the fence to see if I have an apple. Sometimes I do.

This ancient Ford truck is no longer road worthy but it runs fairly well and
earns its keep bringing hay bales out to the field. I estimate it to be
close to 90 years old. I hope I'm in as good shape at 90.
