The motor winder at least had an option for 2 x 3V Li cells (Type 123) in the handgrip shell and an optional screw-attached rechargeable power pack module. NiMHs are a pain in the nether regions, my Rollei 6006 and 3003 both need their power packs refitting. Four of these might be an interesting option, though I've no idea if they would be compatible with the Leica charger.
