You did not mention a budget, but if it is quality you want, why not go with 
the CZ 21 Distagon? It is fitted with a Nikon ROM, so should work well on 
all F mount bodies.

I have owned the original Contax version of this lens for many years and can 
confirm that it is extremely sharp.
