Check pg 105 of your user manual for metering pattern..... 

If I look at your picture, and I take into account the M8 metering pattern,
it still seems a bit overexposed......

I think Mark is right..... set it for -2/3 exposure and continue using the
camera.... then figure out if that is right for you....

BTW, I think it was Tina that said she always underexposed, then expanded
the image using LR.
