Getting me ( expanding market ) to buy a S2 would be that return. I have a full Hassy film system. So do a lot of pros. Read Mark's response..... the joys of having saved that great Zeiss glass..... What is the angle to get me (Mr Hassy film system owner) to switch? I do not see one.......and thus the full market problem.... Comment on R10..... don't bet they have decided to abandon the "35mm" SLR market..... It may not be called an R10, but my money is on the fact that an SLR that uses the R Mounted lenses is in our future...... It is aimed at a portion of the market that now buys or leases Hasselblad, for example. As the sensor does not have the anti aliasing function, Leica considers that its image quality will be competitive with 50MP designs. As far as I know, there are no publicly available files from production models yet. Let's see what it actually does when it gets into service. No point pining for the R10 as we all now know. As for a 24x36 sensor M9, if and when it arrives, I think you might have to save a little longer. Doesn't seem likely to come to market priced lower than the M8.2? 2009/7/30 Frank Filippone <red735i at earthlink.net> > Reality, or lack thereof, still reigns supreme at Leica..... > > Get me my full frame M9 and R10. > > Frank Filippone > red735i at earthlink.net > > If I am making real money with my photos, I will so jump on this. > Heck, for $32K+ for a body and lens, may be I would buy two :-) > > > > > _______________________________________________ > Leica Users Group. > See http://leica-users.org/mailman/listinfo/lug for more information > -- Cheers Geoff Alles was eine gute Kamera braucht / Everything a good camera needs: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/gh/ http://www.pbase.com/hoppyman _______________________________________________ Leica Users Group.
