Given how many of us have shot thousands of frames of Kodachrome and loved the results with great passion. Will there be a day when digital resolution will equal that of Kodachrome? Or are we there now? Or the foreseeable future? Or is it possible? Or is it really necessary given the quality of some digital cameras? ted -----Original Message----- From: lug-bounces+tedgrant=shaw.ca at leica-users.org [mailto:lug-bounces+tedgrant=shaw.ca at leica-users.org] On Behalf Of Mike Durling Sent: Monday, June 22, 2009 6:06 PM To: Leica Users Group Subject: Re: [Leica] Kodachrome RIP Am I the only one here who feels just a little sadness at this news? Probably not. Sure, we've all moved on. Like most of you I haven't shot a roll of K-chrome in years. Still, whenever one of the wonderful materials we used goes away that's one less choice that we have. This is a big one. The question was never if, only when. Still sad. If Leica went away most photographers would say ho hum, they haven't been relevant for years. We know better.
