Like the other LUG print group members I have George's prints on hand. I can
attest that they are always technically superb too.
I do use different capture sharpening routines, basically one for landscape
like shots and another for portraits. My view is that all digital Raw files
benefit from some capture sharpening.
I use a separate output sharpening routine dependant on the end use. Web is
one treatment, print another. I use the PKSharpen plug-in.
LUG print group members may have opinions on whether these work well and
others have larger prints on hand from me too. Printing to 12 inches x 18
inches, my M8 Raw files are demonstrably superior to those from my scanned
Fuji pro films. Those need significantly more output sharpening too. There
are a lot more optical steps in that instance, obviously.
