It would be quite interesting to find out if this has veracity Jayanand.
The only way to determine this would be to have the various models
available with and without AA.
Then we could determine an accurate percentage of AA "want."

When I followed the Medium Format Digital developments closely
it appeared that the moire solution "wanters" were primarily fashion
and portrait shooters concerned with fabric.
The photo illustrators, product and architectural shooters wanted rid
of the AA.

My guess is the high production manufacturers had to compromise
toward the consumer/portrait/wedding market.
And that 99.99% of buyers of those cameras have not seen unsharpened
results from sensors without AA's.

googling "aa filters on medium format backs"
will bring up a whole lot of interesting discussions
