[Leica] CV 1.4/40mm and 1.2/35mm on M8 - what is your experience?

I have not had my 35 f1.2 coded but I do use the filter. I have no idea why 
but all my 35mm lenses are recognised as 35mm by my M8, including the 35mm 
setting on the tri-elmar, even though they are not coded. It started after 
one of the firmware updates IIRC.
