LR2 shares the same Raw processing engine as Adobe Camera Raw and is every bit as sophisticated and effective on Raw images. The difference is that LR has set out to be a more efficient work flow designed for photographers. All of the users here have noted that it performs most or all of what they want to do to digital images in a more efficient way. For when you want to go further on specific images then you can move to Photoshop as desired. I've only just got LR2 but already I can see much improved processes for actually importing and managing my (1000's already!) photos while I can still do all of the stuff I routinely do in ACR. 2009/5/14 Mark Rabiner <mark at rabinergroup.com> > At least you're not using photo management software to optimize your > images. > Adobe calls "photo management software" Lightroom.
