Hello Phiip,

Sorry mate I have to challenge your comment on the basis of being a
published and assigned sports shooter, ?national & international? since 1960
covering every winter and summer Olympics since Mexico 1968, Barcelona was
the last 1992. All Commonwealth Games since1970 in Edinburgh, Pan American
Games since the ?60?s not to forget all kinds of national sports, hockey,
car racing, football, international track and field all over the place.

And for the life of me I don?t have any idea what your friend would spend
16,000 pounds on yearly?

All the lenses and camera bodies are a first time one shot purchase and it
would easily be far more than the 16,000! But you don?t spend that on a
yearly basis buying equipment. If it were at a time of film I?d have no
problem if you said he spent 16,000 on film and processing. But then he
recovers those costs because you always charge that to the client who
assigned you to be there.

So please be a good lad and give us a break down on the 16,000 pounds per
year and what he buys for such a very high outlay? Thank you.

If you are interested in looking, my son Scott is shooting sports all over
the place and I know for sure he doesn?t spend 16,000 pounds a year on gear.
Besides I?d kick his ass for being so wasteful! Have a look at his web site
for an insight to what has been called one of the best sport photographers
in Canada.

http://www.sixsixsix.ca/ I?m sure you?ll be pleasantly surprised. Actually
he?s on assignment at the moment in Montreal shooting a major diving event.

Over to you mate!

Cheer,

Dr. ted
