Not in my experience, Ted.  Scrapple is ground fairly fine, shaped into
small loaves, sliced, and fried, usually coated in corn meal and fried
in lard or bacon grease. (Hmm, on 2nd thought, doesn't sound too yummy,
does it?)  Head cheese is different, at least in the southern US, in
part because of the seasonings used in it, and in part because of the
way it's prepared for a meal.
