I agree with you on the too much air on top. The flower in front of her hand doesn't work given the formality. The strong dark vertical window frame running up her spine and out of her head?<<<< Hi George, My thoughts as soon as I opened it not in a super questioning fashion but a quick re-action.. As nice as it is, I find her stance is slightly too square shoulders to camera and would've preferred a slight turn of body to her left. Slimming the body line. Not that she needs it as she looks like a "in very good shape" lady to say the least. This would've given her a nice body line rather than the squared shoulders into camera. By the same token given we see only one frame when this slight turn of body may have taken place but the facial smile-expression wasn't as nice. All in all, it's still a very nice photograph of the First Lady! ted -----Original Message----- From: lug-bounces+tedgrant=shaw.ca@leica-users.org [mailto:lug-bounces+tedgrant=shaw.ca@leica-users.org] On Behalf Of George Lottermoser Sent: Saturday, February 28, 2009 10:17 AM To: Leica Users Group Subject: Re: [Leica] Michelle Obama; Official Portrait by Joyce Boghosian Regards, George Lottermoser george@imagist.com http://www.imagist.com http://www.imagist.com/blog http://www.linkedin.com/in/imagist On Feb 28, 2009, at 11:40 AM, Slobodan Dimitrov wrote: > It's a good portrait. > Though a bit heavy on top of her head. > sd _______________________________________________ Leica Users Group.
