At your quoted f/8 that would be about 5ft to infinity in your currency! So your test won't tell you much about focus accuracy in this instance. However you are getting a bonus of cropping the outer part of the image circle and keeping the highest performance part so you should have a fine quality walk around combination there, limited only by your sensor. Should keep you shooting happily with your Leica glass until the R10 comes along!
