I'm updating my equipment. Going from a 7.1 (plus 2 channel second zone) 
receiver to 9.1 separates.
 
I've agreed with the demand of the resident female's to re-wire into the 
walls anything that is currently exposed.
 
My hearing is not improving as I get older but it is still reasonably 
perceptive of audio differences.
 
My old turntable is an Hitachi PS-58 purchased new in 1977 and it did sound 
pretty good when I put it away as I had upgraded the needle to a higher-end 
unit.
 
It is hard to find out much today about Hitachi turntable's. Even with the 
internet.
