For traveling light and what I used on my recent trip to Europe, I use the INDURO MA25, with the SA12 Ball head. ?The INDURO monopod collapses down to 15 inches, without the head and weighs about 1.5 lbs, so add another 5 inches or so for the head. ?Both heads have the Quick Release feature. ?Don't remember the price of the Manfroto, as I have had it for years, but the INDURO was slightly over $100 for the monopod and ball head. ?Both are nice units and seem to hold up quite well.
