There were no places to sleep but I wasn't about to miss it. All 6 of us slept in a tiny little rental car. We got up early the next morning and went looking for a chisel because all of the kids wanted a piece of the Berlin Wall. Every hardware store was sold out of chisels and hammers. We finally bought a small chisel from somebody on the street. We still have several huge chunks of the wall. I also have quite a few photos - somewhere. We went through the Brandenburg gate and into East Berlin with the first crowds. Looks like people would have learned about walls but history seems determined to repeat itself.
