I'm thinking that they are but I'm not sure. Is the Nikon software different from these two? I get a lot more out of it with Silverfast software. Some people use Vuescan but I never could get that to do much for me. The Nikon software is not bad, but Silverfast lets you output a RAW file that you can work on like any other RAW. It makes a big difference with B&W and Kodachrome.
