Thanks Ted, I tend to agree that there are no obvious stand outs in our
shots this time. I was very pleased to get the albatross landing after
missing about 5 first attempts, before realizing that they were all landing
at the same spot, so I could "pre-focus" and wait. Wildlife photography is a
combination of luck and readiness. Sometimes it seems to me the equipment
helps, but its like anything: patience practice and luck

Thanks for looking

Cheers and merry christmas

Alastair

Hi Helen and Alastair,

A wonderful set of photographs a fine cross section of Antarctica wild
life. I was going to give my favourites but it's much easier to say I like
them all very much. It's primarily the cross section that makes the series
so interesting.

Good on you mate,

ted

Now I'm not Doug, but I've taken his advise and I hope you like these little
critters: penguins, albatross, seals and other birds. All comments will be
very happily taken: especially any comments on how to improve.

All images taken with Leica and Olympus cameras, mainly the R9/DMR with 280
apo f2.8 and Vario elmarit 28-90 and 70-180 with a few 100mm macro and the
Oly E3 with 12-60 and 50-200
