CANON POWERSHOT G5 DIGITAL CAMERA, black. If you do not have a digital
camera, this is a good starter for a photographer who needs both
features and capabilities. This is my first serious digital camera. When
I showed it to Ted Grant, he bought one as his first digital. The size
and hold is about the same as a Leica M camera with an M Grip attached.
The G5 has 5MP with images up to 2592x1944 pixels. It makes great prints
up to 11 x 14 inches. Includes an "it-never-slips" UpStrap, rechargeable
BP-511 battery, A/C charger and 512MB CF card that will hold up to 199
JPEGs.

The zoom lens is 35mm film equivalent of 35mm f/2.0 to 140mm f/3.0.
Optical zoom viewfinder plus an articulated 1.0 x 1.8-inch LCD. Exposure
control is by full Auto. Program AE, Shutter-Priority AE,
Aperture-Priority AE and full manual. Auto and manual focus. Auto and
adjustable white balance, 2 Custom settings programs. Records JPEG and
RAW files. Single shot or 2 continuous shooting modes. The rechargeable
BP-511 battery will last for up to 450 exposures with the LCD on and for
over 1,000 with the LCD off. Output is by USB, Picture Transfer Protocol
and AV to NTSC or PAL (as selected) TV.

The G5 has a lot of advanced features: both auto exposure and auto focus
bracketing, built-in ND filter, built-in intervalometer, and 1st and 2nd
curtain flash synch. The articulated LCD is a feature I wish my DSLR
had. It flips out and turns to any direction. Great for low-level and
overhead shots, copying, and turning around for self-portraits. The G5
has auto rotate so vertical pictures are shown with correct orientation
in the LCD. The special panoramic program shows 30% overlap to make
alignment and stitching easy. The Canon Lens converters listed below are
sold separately but work well with the G5.

Camera size is 4.8 x 2.9 x2.8 inches and weighs 1 pound 3 ounces. There
is a remote control--which I could never get to work. The G5 outfit
includes 2 Software CDs, 2 instruction books, Quick Start Guide, System
Map, USB and AV connector cables.

I enjoyed using this camera since if felt much like a Leica M in my hand
and had a 35mm f/2.0 lens equivalent. I paid $629 new. The G5 is
currently selling on The Internet used for $169 to $499 depending on
condition. This camera's condition: VG+ with 2 small marks on body and 1
on the lens barrel. The glass is clean and clear with no marks.
Everything seems to work OK. My asking price: $150.00 complete now
reduced to $135.00
