My personal preference is either, not both. I believe in the power of "2".
I carry lenses in sets..... 15, 35, and 75 or 21/24,50, and 90.
The reality of the 35 and 50 is that they really do not differ that much in
angle of view..... so a few steps back or forward, usually accommodates the
scene ( rather than carrying both, or worrying about which to carry.)
Overall, I usually carry the 35 combo..... it is lighter....... and you
can always crop......

if
you had to pick one lens for daily use on your rangefinder and it was
either a 35mm f/2.0 or a 50mm f/1.4 which would it be?
