I note that on the first page there is a note that many were never published, so the image couldn't have been scanned from the magazine. No way to know about how this affects rights-holders unless someone who actually owns the rights to the image can address it. I'd think it unlikely that something nefarious is happening although it's certainly possible given the state of respect for copyright these days.
