The year was around 1944 when my family moved to the country in Western Massachusetts. We had the Model A for about 10 years and would drive to Missquamicut Beach in Rhode Island maybe 3 or 4 times a year. My brother and I would ride in the rumble seat the whole time. It was great. My dad finally traded it in for a '53 Chevy. The fun was gone. Thanks for the memory, Len On Oct 15, 2008, at 7:29 PM, Jim Hemenway wrote: > They make my mouth water, Ira. > > Here's my "concours" from circa 1961: > <http://www.hemenway.com/ModelA-Olds.jpg> > > 1931 Model A Coupe with a 1951 Olds V8, Cadillac manual > transmission, and a 1951 Olds station wagon rear end. > > ;-) > > Jim > > > ISILVERMN@aol.com wrote: > > First, my thanks to Robert Meier, Ric, Geoff, Lluis, Jim Nichols, > Phillipe > > Amard, Oliver Bryk and Jim Hemenway for all the kind words on my > B&W set of > > pictures from the Concours. > > > > Now for the first set in color.
