I would love to see some variations on the theme, with harsher cross lighting etc for example: having said that, my ability to arrange lighting is zero, as evidenced by the lousy job I always do when faced with group photos as per the wedding last week. Could you describe how you lit the object and kept the b/ground so black? I don't have any information on the provenance for this work, but given a choice, I like the side on view best. Cheers Alastair Asunto: [Leica] IMG: Mexican Stone Head Last week I was given the opportunity to photograph an ?ancient? stone carving for the purpose of evaluation by experts in antiquities. Working with this object, arranging light to bring out its form, color and texture without exaggeration, proved a challenge. With each failed attempt I learned more about this beautiful object and the light falling upon it. If any of you have knowledge regarding these objects; I'd love to hear from you about its age, hitory, etc. <http://www.imagist.com/blog/?p=398> Slide show of additional views <http://www.imagist.com/mexican_head> Fond regards, George george@imagist.com http://www.imagist.com http://www.imagist.com/blog http://www.linkedin.com/in/imagist _______________________________________________ Leica Users Group.
