So less image on the right and a little more below, maybe? I think that it needs to be straightened too. I bet you have a bunch of alternate frames? I don't see anything in that one which might have been out of gamut. I think that it is something in your process. For me, when I make web versions, I do all editing and resizing/resampling then change to 8 bit before saving as a jpg. Last step is then convert to sRGB colour space. I haven't observed any colour loss by that sequence in anything I have shot so far. This one looks too as though you could extract more highlight information from the water reflections in the Raw conversion. Also I am not convinced that you should routinely have that -.3EV dialed in. I think that you are needlessly discarding too much of the potential range of the original linear capture by doing that, before all of the converting and manipulation in and out of camera starts. Maybe that's a separate discussion. I've not used my M8 anything like as much as you have yours, of course. My amateur 1.88 cents worth (woohoo, go the Aussie dollar vs USD) Cheers Geoff http://www.pbase.com/hoppyman/e http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/gh/ -----Original Message----- Subject: [Leica] IMG: Fishermen PESO: I'm still working on India photos. This one has a nice golden glow as a Adobe RGB tif but it's not as obvious in the sRGB jpeg: http://www.pbase.com/image/97069105 M8 photo. Comments and criticisms greatly appreciated.
