Ira,

Thanks for looking and for the kind words.  Fotodiox.com lists a "set" of 5 
adapters to adapt M42 lenses to Canon EOS mount cameras for $49.95, and has 
the Canon 30 among those cameras with which the adapters are compatible. You 
might look at that site.  I am totally unfamiliar with the Canon line, so 
there might be something I am missing.

The only problem I have had with my Fotodiox adapter was that the set screws 
that hold the two halves together needed to be tightened more securely, 
using a jeweler's screwdriver.
