Mark, a number of accomplished photographers have said here that they like
to shoot rapidly and hardly look at the finder. Clearly that is valid for
them, for that type of shooting. Remember too, that M's can also be used for
deliberate 'slow food' type photography. Very careful framing is perfectly
sensible for many types of photography. Much depends on whether you are in
an AA or HCB mood, does it not? Pablo's points make perfect sense to me,
just as I understand what Tina and Ted has said.

I'm fond of finders.
Might be why my 40 is my favorite lens.
I get to use the finder with it.
Or have to, supposedly, when I remember.
I never met a finder I didn't like. I have them for about every focal length
except 135. It may be I'll be in the category of "collecting" them as they
come from all different sources and vary so much. And go back to the 20's.
A lot of my shots if its normal or wider I never look though the camera at
all.
