Since your 'full disclosure' of course the eye is drawn straight there. It would have been interesting to see if the change had been identified if you hadn't mentioned it. May I suggest just try reducing the translucence effect of the cloud over the moon to see if it appeals? You could do this without completely losing the shine through effect. Put the moon layer underneath and adjust the opacity of the other layer? Just burn in the selected areas on the version you have shown? Just my thoughts. I love the positioning of the birds against the lighter sky and their flight angle leading beautifully to the cloud gap with its moon. Lovely work. Of course they didn't have Photoshop. This was the second full mood after the Harvest moon. It really appeared that big, but, in the interest of full disclosure, I have to admit that I pasted a picture of the full moon with details on its surface over the original one.
