The point people seem to be missing, Tina - and I suspect that they're never
going to 'get it' - is that you don't have to be 'oblivious' to the
photographer's presence to still go about your normal business in a normal
way. You, as a photographer, are certainly not oblivious to the presence of
a photographer. But you care enough about your work, be it photographing or
teaching, to continue doing it, 'ignoring' the photographer. Brittany
Spears, on the other hand, is incapable of wiping her a** without looking to
see where the photographers, and turning toward them. ;-)
