What ever diesel genration :
Which doesn't solve the issue of unburnt fuel particles - 
exhausts/mufflers filter now them for sure but the finest ones still get 
through and even automakers research teams are secretly concerned that 
they get into your lungs more easily not to leave them forever - makes 
it a grim prospect all the more so.
That prospect is clearer with electricity as it is easier to process 
particules on an industrial scale than on an individual/personal car basis.
But this won't help Nathan in his choice much I'm afraid
