My pictures will take a little while. About five hundred frames so far, all film of course. Maybe even one or two of Senoritas, just to add the Luis touch. One or two people that you just might recognise as well. Today was an afternoon with Luis, his lovely wife and her sister. Luis took me to two superbly stocked camera shops, we drank a little vino and cervesas and even visited his office. Some nice pictures to come, I hope. We spent some time looking at Luis' body of work from his darkroom days. Beautiful, beautiful prints of street life, some that no longer exists. Probably about 100 Luis PAWs in one amazing pile of inspiring prints. Then of course, Leicas started to appear on the table. Luis has more M gear than God ;-) All of it is used, of course. Some should be used by me. I tried my best but I could not fit his lenses in my bag to bring home. We finished our evening with some authentic Catalonian food at a great restaurant shared with our new friends. Really typical of our whole marvellous visit with our EuroLUG friends. Both Amsterdam and Barcelona are just fabulous cities to be out and around walking with a camera. The very good company made it extra special. Only my spilt Hoegaarden beer will be remembered sadly. Tragically knocked over by my Aussie camera bag. Maybe I need one of those neat little Domke satchels like my BeneLUG friends.
