The more recent digitals do not have removable prisms like the older Nikon F series. You change screens through the lens mount opening. But the number of different screens is limited. The Nikon D2X has 3 screens available where the F5 has 11, including 2 with the split image wedges. Nikon doesn't make a split image screen for the digitals. I wish they did but they replaced it with the focus confirmation dot. Things are going downhill in this area. At least all my manual focus lenses still work perfectly on my D2X. The other stupid thing Nikon is doing is following Canon in removing the aperture ring. ;-( Len On Oct 14, 2007, at 9:16 AM, Frank Filippone wrote: > Let me preface by stating I do not own a digital camera.
