When I was forced to buy a new PC, it came with Win XP Home Edition and I found no way to access my old backup files. --------------------------------------- Hi Jim, I solved all my W98, W98SE problems by installing W2K Pro in my veteran Pentium II Dell running at 450MHz. This Dell was the first with USB. It opened everything I had made with W98, W98SE. And W2K is solid stable. It runs like a Rolls Royce. It does all my PS and Irfanview photo work. I'm looking forward to buying my first computer is 10 years: A Dell 17" laptop with the new Penryn 45nm chip set. It should be on the market next month. This new generation will feature built-in flash drives in addition to the standard disk drives. So the response will be fast on bootup. I'll still be using the dependable Dell desktop for most of my photo work and DVD viewing. Bob ************************************** See what's new at http://www.aol.com
