Can you imagine Nikon today introducing a 35/1.8 or a 105/2.5 RF Nikkor in the M mount only? There were not that many Nikon RF made, around 100+ k, while perhaps 10 times as many Contaxes and Kievs were made. It is likely that Cosina is behind the decision to release this in S mount. The 50/1.5 Cosina Nokton is still available to Nikon RF owners while Contax users cannot buy modern optics to put on their cameras. Very Strange. ----- Original Message ----- From: "G Hopkinson" <hoppyman@bigpond.net.au> To: "'Leica Users Group'" <lug@leica-users.org> Sent: Wednesday, 03 October, 2007 7:27 AM Subject: [Leica] new 1.5 50 Sonnar > > > For Nikon rangefinder fans. > > I notice that Zeiss has just announced a variant of the 1.5 50 Sonnar for > Nikon S mount. > > Retro and too cool for school > > <http://www.zeiss.com/C12567A8003B58B9?Open> > > > > Cheers > > Hoppy > > > > > > > _______________________________________________ > Leica Users Group. > See http://leica-users.org/mailman/listinfo/lug for more information >
