You should be especially pleased to be recognised for a poetic bird photograph in a forum where that benchmark is stratospheric. Truly Doug is the technical maestro there. I'd also echo Brian's comment regarding the interpretations of the theme this month. I had that clockwork concept mentally only but you have executed it superbly. In the end I submitted nothing this month, having made no photographs that I thought lifted themselves above the ordinary. Never fear, the next theme went 'click' when I read it. Bring on the weekend so that I can try it out. Still on the interpretation of the theme, Bob's "dancer" truly sang for me too. I am so excited and honored. Thank you very much. This is a first for me. I have never, ever, no how no way won anything in all my 64 years. I'm thrilled. I would like to offer my congratulations to the other winners and contestants. There were many great shots this month. I am not the photographer that Doug, Bob, Steve, Dider, and Graham are, not to mention Tina and Ted. I know that. This is a very exciting moment for me. Thanks. Barney ---- Original Message----- Subj: [Leica] September 2007 LUG photo contest winners I am delighted to announce the winners of the September 2007 LUG Photo Contest. I am not a judge, but I was delighted by a photograph of a watch movement (by Barney Quinn) and a photograph of (one assumes) some movement of a piece of classical music (by Douglas Sharp). The October contest is now open. Its theme is "Reflection".
