I took this photo with no value judgement at all, as I found it odd  
and thought provoking. Especially as I am an MD and a specialist  
dealing with very sick kids... it made me wonder...

I'm certainly not an expert in taste.. and I'd not want to make a  
call...

Are you an expert in taste?  Whether yes or no,

I have to wonder why you made that strong judgement...

to me it's moving, especially since birthdays imply life and  
living...in an unusual setting...
