More seriously don't you love the long mid tones from the Neopan 400? It was Marty that really inspired me to go to XTOL 1:3. The film bases are superbly clear. I think I actually need to try reducing the standard time now (since my agitation routine is probably quite vigorous) Cheers Hoppy -----Original Message----- From: lug-bounces+hoppyman=bigpond.net.au@leica-users.org [mailto:lug-bounces+hoppyman=bigpond.net.au@leica-users.org] On Behalf Of bob palmieri Sent: Saturday, 1 September 2007 02:21 To: lug@leica-users.org Subject: [Leica] Re: LUG Digest, Vol 35, Issue 381 On Aug 31, 2007, at 9:57 AM, Hoppy wrote: > It does, (for an old school classic ;-) it does. > And look at the Neopan 400 in XTOL 1:3 with a modern 50 (yes wide > open). > <http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/gh/a/Vic/MV4.jpg.html> > <http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/gh/a/Vic/MV14.jpg.html> > This ain't no old style aberration "glow" ;-) Nice imaging and very good composition of that reading room.
