Larry,

While I'm not Ted, or Tina or any one of several other Pros here who use and 
are satisfied with their M8's, I do know my M8 certainly is at least as good 
as any of my Film M or R cameras.  It certainly humbles my Nikon D200 
easily, to the point I rarely use it at all, my wife uses it most of the 
time when she wants to take a bird shot or something.  For bird or other SLR 
type of shooting I almost always grab my R8.  You can think what you want 
about the M8, but as for me, I'm certainly very satisfied with my purchase.  
If you want to stay with film M's or what ever then all the more power to 
you.
