I did not purchase the M8 to support Leica. I can't afford to do that. I purchased the M8 to use to produce photos for my photography business. I am very happy with the M8 and will buy another when as soon as I can justify the purchase. I won't buy it to support Leica, but to have a back up in case the first one fails - a possibility with any camera, film or digital. I never traveled with only one film camera either.
