Their vests carry a large number like a competitor number. It is easy for the authorities to monitor who is where on the multiple tv images. I have been in this business 30+ years (but not as a photographer) and know all the regular photographers. They don't like it but since the business has grown financially they, and the promoters, are doing well out of it and they put up with it.
