yes, the roxsen adapter i used has a few electronic contacts that 
activate the camera's built-in focus confirmation.  the contacts 
are on a tiny oddly-shaped PC-board expoxied to the adapter.  it
doesn't look like much, but it does work.

not all adapters have this, the ones that do seem to say "AF" or
"focus confirmation".
