With that, he inherited Rudy's hyper-critical customer base of Leica users. He learned right away that customer service was a major part of the camera repair. Rudy was also listed as a factory service out here in the West Coast, before New Jersey consolidated the service end. Rudy stayed with him, a couple of days a week for several years, to help him through the bumps. Rudy has since past away. I've used Steve many times for my R service. Out of nearly a dozen services, there was one mishap with a lens, a loose element. He took care of that overnight, everything else was fine. s.d.
