I shoot the GRD in color mode. It gives me the added latitude of being able
to simulate B&W filters during greyscaling. But it is at a price.
Converting color to B&W in PS almost always gives me huge amounts of noise
(not grain...noise). This GRD shot was not at high ISO.

I was able to create a lot of contrast in the sky by playing with filter
effects in PS. But the noise in the clouds is evident.
