Mine has the spotting, and  when I asked DAG about it, he said it was of no
consequence to image quality, so I never bothered with doing anything about
it.  Never noticed any haze or flare issues with it.   That said, I also
have a CV 28 that I use more since it is a faster lens, and seems more
balanced on the M8.  The CV is considerably larger than the 28 Rokkor.
