Greg I'm with you on the asph lens. When you get some results from the 
compact Zeiss, I hope that you will post for us.

Best 50mm lens at any aperture for Leica is the new Asph 50/1.4. Second best 
would be the non-asph 50/1.4. I used a Zeiss 50/1.5C ZM
for a few low light, wide open photos while in Vancouver on the weekend but 
no results as of yet.

I expect it to be quite soft wide open.
