A few years ago we had a 79 MGB. Fortunately all the pollution crap
including the cat convertor and single throat carb had been replaced by
a header/low restriction exhaust and weber double barrel down draft
carb, so it ran great. In rural Ohio we are not subject to pollution
inspection (though it probably ran cleaner than if the old pollution
controls were still in place). Unlike other's experiences, the only
problem with Lucas electric was the fuse box connections and tail light
connections which needed to be lightly sanded on occasion. I miss that
car!
